Hello, I'm Crystal (she/her), a Colorado illustrator and comic artist! I went to the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design and graduated in 2006 with an BFA Illustration and high honors.
I love working on fantasy and plant illustrations, especially those influenced by video games, such as the Legend of Zelda and old school instruction booklets, fantasy related media, such as Legend, Willow, Delicious in Dungeon, and table top role-playing games, like Dungeons & Dragons. I seek to make whimsical and beautiful work that captures my love of nature and fantasy. I am a traditional artist who primarily works in gouache, but occasionally dips into inks and copic markers. While working on illustrations and comics, I also table at local conventions.
I live with my fellow geeky husband and cat Calcifer. When I'm not drawing and making stories, I also enjoy baking, brewing/drinking beer, gardening, playing video games (especially the Legend of Zelda), table top role-playing (mostly Dungeons & Dragons) and reading/watching too many comics, anime, and movies!
